yes, I am perfectly fine

“Hi! How are you today?” This question is the easiest to be asked and yet the hardest to be answered. Some people might find it’s easy to say “I am perfectly fine!” while some might be hiding their bad days, try hard to consider the best answer, like me, but often ends up by saying the same. It’s draining to pretend the happiness-at least for me, if any of you could relate. But what about.. just for a sec, take our time trying to see this from a different point of view.

Okay so let’s try to see the “I am fine” answer as a prayer. Then try to smile. Then say “amen” in your heart, agreeing with that statement. Convince yourself that you’re gonna be literally fine as long as you believe you are. Oh but wait, I’m not saying that feeling not okay is a bad thing. It is not. And it is totally normal. But it’s important to make sure that you are not digging too deep on your sorrows all by yourself. Seek for help if you need to.

What I’m trying to say here is that I believe that if we said “I am fine” as a prayer, the whole world will say “amen” for it too. And God never ignore every single prayer, so why not trying to do that? And also.. trying to smile with pretending to smile are two different things. Trying to smile isn’t a bad idea. Science even says that smiling can bring happiness. When you start smiling, your brain releases the neuropeptides, the molecules that can beat off stress. Smiling also brings dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins. The main players of the feeling of happiness. Dopamine makes you feel good.Serotonin helps stabilize your mood and emotions, and also its role as antidepressant. While endorphins mildly soothe your pain. With all these benefits, I suppose there’s no reason to not trying to smile right?

Eventually, happiness is not an eternal feeling. It comes and goes. But it’s not that hard to be created too. It’s inside us. Be grateful for simplest things, forgive and accept yourself wholeheartedly, then try to smile. It’s that simple.

So guys, I hope to all of us that had a bad day today, to have a better day tomorrow and to always find happiness in ourselves. This journal is just what i think about saying “I’m fine”. It’s all just my opinion and it’s okay if you don’t agree with it. But I do curious with your thoughts about it. What do you think about that? Just drop it here and let’s discuss. Take care, stay safe, and God bless.
